Florence Ting
Senior Associate

Florence is a graduate of the University of Birmingham. She brings specialised expertise to the firm, having previously worked in the private trust sector. This experience involved the establishment and administration of Singaporean and foreign trusts, advising on optimal trust structures, incorporating asset holding companies, and managing compliance reviews.

Leveraging her trust background, Florence focuses on complex family and private client matters:

  • Family Law: Divorce, annulment, Wills, and contentious Trusts matters.

  • Estate Planning: Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA), Deputyship applications, and Probate.

  • Commercial Litigation: Acting and advising both individuals and corporate entities in civil and commercial disputes.

Florence is committed to supporting vulnerable individuals, volunteering with the Appropriate Adult Scheme for Young Adults (AAYS). Her dedication was recognized when she received the Friends of MINDS Award in 2022.

Kyle Sim
Director

Kyle read law at the University of Liverpool. Prior to setting up Engarde, Kyle practiced with a well-regarded law firm in Singapore. With a depth of experience in family law, Kyle is regularly instructed on complex, high-net-worth divorces for both local and expatriate clients. His experience covers all aspects of contentious matrimonial proceedings, including:

  • Family violence and protection orders

  • Maintenance and access applications

  • Appeals to higher courts

With broad experience across criminal defence, Kyle has acted as lead and junior counsel for individuals and corporations facing charges under various legislation, including the Penal Code, Organised Crime Act, Prevention of Corruption Act, and more. He is also experienced in:

  • Civil and commercial disputes before the State and High Courts.

  • Adjudications under the Security of Payments Act.

  •  Applications to the Strata Titles Board

Kyle has a strong belief in ensuring access to justice and has volunteered as counsel for numerous matters under the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme, most recently acting as lead counsel in a High Court criminal matter.
